Student and learner privacy

Effective date: April 9, 2026

Launch note: This page is written as an operational policy draft for StepHigh. Confirm company registration details, contact address, data retention decisions, and legal jurisdiction before using it for App Store, Google Play, or public legal compliance.

Education-first data use

StepHigh uses learner data to provide exam practice, progress tracking, account controls, and support. We do not use quiz history to sell personal data.

Parents and guardians

Parents or guardians can contact StepHigh to request review, correction, or deletion of a learner's account data. We may need to verify the request before acting.

Schools and teachers

If StepHigh is later offered through schools, additional school terms, data processing agreements, and role-based controls may be required before deployment.

Age policy to confirm

Before launch, confirm the intended age range for StepHigh. If the app is directed to children under 13, under 16, or school-managed learners, additional COPPA, GDPR-K, school privacy, and app store requirements may apply.

Minimization

StepHigh should collect only the profile and learning data needed to provide accounts, progress, support, security, and app functionality.
