How StepHigh handles data
Effective date: April 9, 2026
Summary
StepHigh collects the data needed to create accounts, authenticate users, save quiz progress, show analytics, remember preferences, provide support, and keep the service secure. StepHigh does not sell personal data.
Data collected by the current app
- Account profile: first name, last name, display name, username, email, country, user ID.
- Authentication: email/password sign-in and optional Google, Apple, or Facebook sign-in.
- Quiz activity: subject, exam type, year, section, question count, score, correct/incorrect/skipped counts, time spent, completion timestamps.
- Analytics: quizzes taken, time spent, streaks, recent activity, most practiced subject, average score by subject.
- Preferences: theme, country, quiz answer display setting, notification preference switches.
- Support: messages and contact details users provide when asking for help.
Why the data is used
Data is used to provide the app experience: sign in, save progress, personalize screens, show learning analytics, help users manage accounts, and respond to support or privacy requests.
Who processes the data
StepHigh uses Firebase/Google services for authentication and database functionality. Users may choose Google, Apple, or Facebook sign-in. The website may be hosted by Hostinger. These providers process data to help StepHigh operate the app and website.
Data controls
- Profile data can be edited in the app profile screen.
- Notification preferences can be managed in settings.
- Quiz history can be cleared in settings.
- The full account can be deleted in settings.
- Deletion support is available at stephigh.io/data-deletion.
App store data safety alignment
For Apple and Google forms, StepHigh should disclose account information, identifiers, user content/support messages where applicable, app activity, diagnostics if collected, and data used for app functionality, analytics, account management, security, and support. The final store declarations must match the exact SDKs and analytics enabled in the production app.
